Evolution of the workshop
In 2008, diving into the technical aspects of shoemaking, I began to buy my own tools and machines. Within 3 years, my Upper West Side NYC rental apartment became a full on shoemaking studio. By the time I moved to Brooklyn for more room (and legal commercial zoning), I had 6 full time employees, industrial sound proofing, ventilation, and heavy machinery in my residential apartment. In Bushwick, Brooklyn I built out a loft space to continue to grow. Fast forward a few years and after moving my equipment to the west coast for work with Yeezy, adidas, and Keen, my wife, Svetlana and I are now back on the east coast with our workshop in Norwalk, Connecticut.
